Midnight black core with a dark red hue. Dark plum, liquorice and blackberry scents drift through the olfactory senses followed by some fennel, subtlety smoked vanillin cedar and peppered earth notes. Rich, concentrated and plush, the full bodied palate is flooded with liquorice, blackberry and dark plum fruits. Spicy vanillin cedar, earthy fennel and pepper elements unfurl across the back half. Velvet smooth tannins concluding long and opulent.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

2021 was a stellar vintage in the Eden Valley and there is plenty to like here. Ripe black plum and blackberry fruits, deeply etched with dark spices, sage, bay leaf, licorice, dark chocolate, pan juices and oaken spice. Quite structured with plenty of tannin chew and gristle; acidity sleek and driving and a lingering exit studded with spiced black fruits. Drink by 2038.
