2021 Pooley Gewurztraminer

Produced from 20 year old vines with maturation taking place in stainless steel tanks on fine lees for 3 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with a glimmer of green around the edges and a watery hue. Captivating lychee, rosewater and Turkish delight aromas fill the nostrils with some musk and ginger spice notes ensuing. Rich and luscious yet at the same time fresh, the palate is engulfed with lychee, pear and musk flavours. Infusions of rosewater, Turkish delight and spicy ginger lie underneath. There’s a brisk feel to the finish and the aftertaste is penetratingly long and intense. A wonderful example of the variety.
