2021 Mt. Wines Heathcote Shiraz

Aged for 10 months in 10% new Hungarian oak. Dense inky black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Intense ripe blackberry, liquorice and black cherry aromas intermix with vanillin oak, scorched earth and peppered dried herb notes. Rich blackberry juice, liquorice and dark plum flavours engulf the full bodied palate providing it with a juicy feel. Spicy vanillin cedar and peppered earth elements linger in the background. Slightly chewy but otherwise velvety tannins with fresh acidity and a bright succulent conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
