2021 Kooyong Clonale Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Drifting from the glass with ample intensity are aromas of white peach, pear, nectarine and dried honey which are complimented by subtle biscuity oak, nougat and gun flint notes. Mid weighted, energetic and possessing an attractive fleshiness, the refined palate is decorated with white peach and nectarine fruits which overlay a dried honey, citrusy nougat, light biscuity oak and gun flint back drop. Finishes fresh, long and elegant.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

This first tier for Kooyong is fabulous. Requisite white stone fruit, citrus and tangy acidity but it is the depth on the palate and vitality that sets the scene. Grilled nuts, leesy complexity, moreish and savoury. Spot on. Drink by 2027.
