2021 Hentley Farm Shiraz

This Shiraz was sourced from a variety of blocks across the Hentley Farm Estate in Seppeltsfield with the wine aged in a combination of new (10%) and old (90%) French oak barrels for a period of 15 months.
Magnificent colour featuring a super saturated inky black heart alongside an equally deep dark purple black hue. Intense ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice aromas engulf the nostrils followed by vanillin cedar, hints of mocha and peppered fennel notes. Rich, full and opulent the palate is awash with a concentrate of dark plum, liquorice, blackberry and blueberry fruits which carry an uber succulent texture. Spicy vanillin cedar, faint earth and peppered fennel characters lurk in the background. Despite its power and intensity it finishes with ample freshness, a sturdy yet well integrated tannin structure and long sumptuous aftertaste.

Shiraz sourced from 12 individual blocks on the Hentley Farm estate; matured in French oak (10% new) for 15 months. Deep purple-edged crimson in the glass and packed with super-ripe blood plum, blueberry and black cherry fruits underscored with dark spices, crème de cassis, licorice, dark chocolate, dried herbs and liminal wafts of truffle, pepper and orange blossom. Unctuous with velvety black and blue fruits and a trail of spice on the exit. Drink by 2033.
