Matured in a mix of new and 1 year old French oak for 16 months. Midnight black in colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of black cherry and liquorice mix with mulberry, vanillin cedar and spicy earth. Lush dark plum and liquorice fruits are sprawled across the mid weighted palate with vanillin oak, earthy dark chocolate and fennel characters lying underneath. Fleshy in its feel it has polished tannins and a generous mid length finish.
