Super dense inky black in colour with a very deep black dark red hue. Wafting out of the glass are black plum and liquorice scents followed by some vanillin oak, fennel and pepper notes. Rich and luscious the full bodied palate is awash with succulent black plum and liquorice fruits which intermesh with black cherry, fennel, vanillin cedar and peppered earth elements. Polished yet nicely built tannin structure. Excellent power concluding medium to long and lavishly fruited.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 15.5%

Other Reviews….
The 2010-planted Casey’s block, which runs parallel to Alice's block, occupies some prime Seppeltsfield real estate. I guess you could call this one of Greenock Creek's 'entry level' wines, though it punches well above that weight class. Packed with intensely concentrated liqueur cherry and plum fruits with spice and hints of roasting meats, pressed flowers, dark chocolate, espresso and dried stone fruits. Toothsome tannins and a rich, velvety exit wrap up proceedings. Drink by 2033.
