2021 Grampians Estate Mafeking Shiraz

Matured in French and American oak. Inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. Lifted fresh plum and liquorice aromas are intermeshed with smoky vanillin cedar, earthy fennel and pepper notes. Medium to full in body with good richness and a fleshy feel, the palate is layered with juicy dark plum and red liquorice fruits. Spicy vanillin cedar, scorched earth, fennel and black pepper characters linger on the back half. Polished tannins with plenty of freshness to the savoury mid length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
