This blend of 60% Grenache, 24% Mourvedre and 16% Shiraz comes resplendent with smart new packaging. Fruit was sourced from old vines with aging taking place in seasoned French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Fragrant aromas of raspberry, red plum and red liquorice infused with fresh herbs fills the nostrils with some spicy earth notes also evident. Swamping the palate are juicy dark raspberry, plum and liquorice fruits which overlay a scorched earth and spicy pepper back drop. Polished tannins finishing with good freshness and a long moreish aftertaste.
