2021 Dominique Portet Brut Nature

Sculptured and racy finishing very dry, elegant and tense.

A blend of 45% Pinot Noir and 55% Chardonnay aged for 30 months on lees. A well formed mousse subsides into a very pale straw base that has pale gold tinged edges and a steady stream of bubbles flowing through it. Citrus and yeast lees scents are followed by some oily toast like notes, almond and chalk. Sculptured and racy in it’s feel, the palate features citrus and green apple fruits over a minerally back drop of almond and chalk. Crisp acidity finishing very dry, elegant and tense.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
