2021 Denton Nebbiolo

Medium bodied Nebbiolo that shows good flesh and richness whilst still being relatively sturdy in structure.

Dark red heart with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Red cherry and red liquorice scents mix with hints of rose petal, leather, earth and spicy dried herb notes. Rich, juicy red to dark cherry and red liquorice fruits carry medium body weight and a fleshy feel across the palate. Infusions of fresh herbs, earth and delicate spicy leather nuances extend across the back half. Relatively polished yet sturdy tannin structure showing good freshness through the long savoury finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Various clones and two picks that were both fermented and left on skins. Pressed to 500L French oak puncheons (20% new) and left unsulfured for 18 months prior to bottling. A bright, medium garnet. Perfumed and poised on the nose with its bouquet of morello cherries, red plums, dried flowers, tobacco and orange zest. Even better on the medium-bodied and very persistent palate. Textured and long-finishing with very fine, polished tannins. Bravissimo! Drink by 2032.
