Other Reviews....
The 2021 Lafaurie-Peyraguey is one of the wines of the year in Sauternes. Creamy and beautifully resonant in the glass, it offers up a compelling mélange of pineapple, mint, ginger, orange confit, chamomile, passionfruit and floral-infused honey. The 2021 is exotic and wonderfully deep, yet not at all heavy. It's too bad Sauternes is such an out of favor category, as great wines like this don't get much attention. That's a shame, because Lafaurie-Peyraguey is truly magnificent in 2021. Tasted two times. Drink 2027-2041.

The 2021 Lafaurie-Peyraguey has quite an effervescent bouquet with orange zest, wild honey and crushed stone. The palate is beautifully balanced, very harmonious with tensile rich botrytised fruit. Almost crystalline towards the finish (I will resist describing it as cut glass!) Long and refined on the aftertaste. Outstanding. Drink 2027-2050.

Incredible, young Sauternes with so much spicy, dried-mushroom, dust and powdered-earth character on the nose and palate, Full-bodied with a medium-sweet palate and a finish that is endless. Apricots, dried lemons and peaches. Caramel. Great balance. Greatest modern vintage? 6,000 bottles made.

The 2021 Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey is terrific, if not the finest vintage I've tasted from this château. Coming from 93% Semillon, 6% Sauvignon, and 1% Muscadelle, representing a selection of 65% of the production, it offers a beautiful perfume of ripe peach, honeyed citrus, marmalade and flower oil. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has plenty of opulence and sweetness yet stays pure, focused, and vibrant, with a great finish. It's a gorgeous Sauternes in the making.

Yellow tropical fruits dipped in honey, with flowers, oranges, lemon curd, vanilla, mango and roasted nuts. Fresh, sweet, racy and energetic, with touches of roasted white peach, overripe apricots and tropical fruits slathered in honey shine brightly in the mid-palate and in the finish. This is a sublime, sweet treat. Though it is going to be difficult to find as only 500 cases were produced! Drink from 2023-2050.

Crisp green apple, lemon, elderflower, this could pass for a dry white wine on the nose - super expressive. Lively on the palate, fresh and upfront with such an ease of drinking. It's a gentle style in that the weight, texture, acidity and sweetness are all soft and calm not too excessive or overt. It's very charming in a subtle quiet way with hints of orange, almond, hazelnut but also a salinity underneath giving an added nuance that some of the others don't have. Drinking Window 2025 - 2049.
