Matured for 18 months in a combination of new and seasoned French and American oak. Midnight black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced dark plum and liquorice aromas are interwoven with vanillin oak, earthy mocha, dark chocolate and spice notes. Rich and plump the flamboyant palate is awash with dark plum and liquorice fruits which meld into a vanillin cedar, fennel, dark chocolate and spice background. Possessing good underlying freshness and velvety tannins it finishes long and opulent yet resoundingly energetic.
