Aged in older American and French oak barrels. Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced black cherry, liquorice and dark plum aromas are interwoven with smoked meats, hints of clove and peppered earth notes. Medium to full in body, rich juicy black cherry, liquorice and dark plum fruits carry a plush feel over a back drop of dried clove, smoked meats, vanillin cedar and peppered fennel characters. Sturdy yet polished tannin structure. The finish deeply fruited, long and generously textured.
