Owner and winemaker Adam Richardson has a wide and varied career in the industry, including most recently, chief winemaker for Treasury Wine Estates Americas and vice president of international winemaking for the major California-based The Wine Group. In these roles, Adam was fortunate enough to visit and produce wines from almost every major wine appellation around the world and by the end of his career saw his name on the back label of about 70 million bottles of wine!

Complexity aplenty in this rich yet savoury Grampians Shiraz.

Aged in selected older American and French oak barrels. Impenetrable inky black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. A mix of red to dark plum and liquorice scents infused with dried herbs sail through the olfactory senses with plenty of intensity followed by some smoked meats, fennel and peppered earth notes. Showing impressive concentration, richness and density the medium to full bodied palate is engulfed with dark plum and liquorice fruits which overlay a complex back drop of clove, fennel, smoked meats and peppered earth characteristics. Silky mid palate feel with a polished yet sturdy tannin structure. Possessing excellent power and depth it has a long plush finish that’s both highly savoury and peppery.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews….
This is where the fun starts. Silken texture, wild flings of spice, sweet/ripe cherry-plum fruit flavour and a long finish, replete with roasted nut, ripe fruit and savoury nuances. Grade A Grampians shiraz, open, sweet-fruited and accessible but with a lot going besides. Drink by 2030.
