Bright pale straw colour with a watery hue. Aromas of pear, red apple and musk mix with hints of honeysuckle. Fleshy pear and red apple fruits drive the palate with infusions of musk and delicate citrus also evident. Finishes dry with brisk acidity and a vibrant medium length aftertaste.

From Clarendon. This is fine gris. With more textural mettle, it would be stellar. Whiffs of baking spice, tarte tatin, pear slushy and shaved almonds skittle along a beam of freshness. Succulence, to balance. A pithy, attractively bitter finish marked with quinine. A superlative vintage of measured wines. This is no exception. Drink by 2024.
