A blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre. Dark red core with black shaded edges and a red purple hue. Unfurling from the glass with an attractive intensity are spicy dark raspberry, red liquorice and red cherry scents which are complimented by some scorched earth and peppered herb notes. Delicious dark raspberry, liquorice and cherry fruits show plenty of spice with some peppered meat and earth elements also evident. Finishes with good freshness and robust tannins which impart a muscular feel to the long juicy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.7%

Other Reviews….
Grenache, shiraz, mourvèdre, grown in Ferguson Valley, a beautiful part of Geographe. The riper profile of this wine is evident in the mouth, prompting a quick check of the alcohol. However as grenache has the propensity to run with the sun and lean towards muscly tannins and a raspberry-lolly character in the mouth, all is well with the wine. It is beautiful in fact: plush, floral, sweet and shapely. The tannins are woven through the fruit, structuring the wine and driving it through the finish. Drink by 2028.
