A spicier if not cooler note is both very pretty and quite fresh with its array of dark pinot fruit, violet and exotic tea. The notably rich and again, appealingly textured medium-bodied flavors are succulent but punchy on the equally complex and persistent finish. This too is well-worth your interest. Drink from 2027+.

Aromas of cassis, dark berries, sweet spices and loamy soil introduce the 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village, a medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated wine that's more tightly wound and youthfully primary than its Chambolle-Musigny counterpart. Framed by bright acids and powdery tannins, it reveals terrific potential.

Exceptionally concentrated dark black colour with purple rim. This seems to be a little on the massive side. Black raspberry maybe plums, not especially Vosne but this can change with further elevage and a racking, as it may very well do.

Elegant and supple, it may lack the concentration of some from this domaine, but it has an echo of the cherry and violet aromas of Suchots within a lighter, fresher frame. In short, a very nice result at the village level. This Vosne is produced from a single parcel of 0.78ha in Bas Maizières, located downslope from Suchots. The vines are nearly 40 years of age and in 2020 they were picked at 13% potential alcohol. Drink 2025 - 2040.
