2020 Hollick The Bard Chardonnay

Bright pale straw to straw colour with a watery hue. A heady mix of ripe peach, apricot and honeycomb scents greets the nostrils with plenty of intensity. Crème brulee, bacon fat and traces of butterscotch ensue. Rich and creamy textured this is in the Fat Bastard mould but displays less toasty oak than the current release. Concentrated ripe peach and apricot fruits lead the way with some honeycomb, bacon fat, roasted almond and crème brulee in the background. Finishes with good freshness and a mouthfilling aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
