2020 Greenock Creek Roennfeldt Road Shiraz
An ultra rich, monumentally sized Barossa Shiraz.
Super dense inky black heart with a very deep dark red black hue. Potent aromas of dark plum, liquorice and dark chocolate waft through the nostrils followed by vanillin oak, mocha, subtle earth and spice notes. Ultra rich, thick and voluptuous, the monumentally sized palate is coated with dark plum, liquorice, dark chocolate and vanillin oak flavours. Exceptional concentration, density and power with earthy mocha, faint leather and spice elements the undercard. Sturdy in their structure yet velvet like in their feel, the tannins are seamlessly interwoven through the long decadent yet slightly chewy finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

Other Reviews……
An incredibly proportioned shiraz sourced from 120-year-old vines on the Greenock Creek estate in western Barossa. I'm always amazed at the balance Greenock Creek achieve in these wines. Now, this is full-bodied to be sure, but the line and flow shows a distinct elegance and grace, tannins fine and chewy, the fruit pure and a mix of red and dark tones studded with spice, floral facets and roasting meats. Jeez Louise ... very nicely done. Drink by 2044.
