Liqueur like aromas of ripe dark currant are trimmed in hints of earth, pepper and crushed fennel. There is excellent volume and richness to the full-bodied and muscular flavors that exhibit impressive power on the complex, mildly rustic and persistent finale. This is very Nuits in style and patience will absolutely be necessary. Drink through 2032+.

Destemmed after the drought so as not to stress further. Assembled in tank. Fine mid purple. Another really attractive perfumed nose, they do seem to have hit the picking dates just right at J-J Confuron this year. Much more red than black fruit, extremely juicy, enough generosity here, some tannins to finish, but the fruit is the clear winner.
