Other Reviews....
This is the first wine to display any appreciable wood and even here it's subtle on the ripe and layered aromas of poached plum, cassis and pungent earth. There is excellent density to the powerful and palate staining flavors that flash a touch of bitter chocolate on the beautifully persistent finish. I would note that while this is very definitely built to repay extended cellaring, it should be reasonably approachable after only 7 to 8 years or so. Drink through 2035+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound

Tasted from barrel, unracked. An even purple, not the deepest. Thee follows a quality nose, quite perfumed with a little vanilla, seductive. Fills the mouth in dark raspberry fruit enlivened by a little whole bunch feeling (50% used) that really opens up the profile of the wine. A long harmonious finish.
