Here too there is just enough wood to mention framing ripe aromas of smoky mineral reduction, prominent floral nuances and iodine whiffs. The mouthfeel of the lilting medium weight flavors is also notably refined with equally good punch suffusing the sneaky long and well-balanced finale. This should reward moderate patience. Drink 2027+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound

The 2020 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru displays more complexity and nuance than the Vaudésir at the moment and heightened mineralité. The palate is well balanced with a saline entry, tightening up toward the finish, but I like the classicism and the sapid nature of this Blanchot. Drink 2024-2045.

Clear pale yellow. The nose is less extrovert than some. A fine, classy bouquet, still not demonstrative, currently a slightly dry finish behind the flesh, some white pear notes, restrained but certainly very fine with good acidity.
