A fabulous example of Chenin Blanc that’s intensely flavoured, powerful and textural.

A portion of the wine was fermented and matured in seasoned French oak barriques for seven months. Brilliant very pale straw colour with flashes of green to the edges and a watery hue. Nosing offers up aromas of pear, lime and quince which mix with hints of musk and faint honeysuckle. Rich, intense and beautifully rounded in the mouth, the palate is engulfed with ripe pear, musk and red apple fruits which interact with traces of spicy quince. Dry and refreshing it finishes with vibrant acidity and a long scrumptious aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 12.5%

Other Reviews….
Fruit from Rocket's vineyard. This is pure, pristine, texturally edgy, and layered with all the good things: sheepy lanolin, beeswax, apricots at the height of summer, green apple, crushed limestone and saline acidity. It has rivulets of flavour that course over the tongue ... it's brilliant. Finesse and poise from such a warm part of town, very impressive. Drink by 2036.

Preserved lemon, lemon barley, pear and spice. Tight, juicy, pear skin and lemon peel, bright acidity, powdery with a talc-like perfume, saline and fresh, with a dusty chalky finish of fine length. Hot climate wine, from a hot vintage, laying it on cool. Excellent. So excellent.  This is a banger. Drink 2021-2029+
