2020 Chateau Meillac Bordeaux Superieur

Chateau Meillac is a Bordeaux Superior from Domaine Serisier vineyards running down the slope of the limestone plateau one kilometer from Chateau Cadillac. The limestone plateau is one in a series of riverside hills and plateaus where the appellations of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol sit. Chateau Meillac, is located on the site near to the town of St Romain la Virvée.
A blend of 85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Midnight black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Drifting through the nostrils are ripe red currant and liquorice scents which are trailed by spicy vanillin cedar, earth and subtle tobacco notes. Rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruits are in the drivers seat with notions of vanillin cedar, dusty earth and spicy tobacco unfolding across the back half. Firmish tannins impart a chewy feel across the amply fruited finish.
