2020 Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey Rouge

Very deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. The nose is well endowed with aromas of ripe black cherries, strawberries and anise followed by some vanillin earth like notes and spice. Rich, ripe and fleshy, this is quite a bold expression of Pinot Noir with black raspberry, ripe strawberry and liquorice fruits to the fore. Some scorched earth and spice elements lie underneath. Lush mouth feel with ripe polished tannins and a juicy, deeply fruited conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
