2020 Buckshot Vineyard Heathcote Primitivo

Planted in 2001, this 1.4-acre patch is located on the cooler east facing slope of the Mt Camel range, at an elevation of 200m.
Deep black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. Liquorice allsort top notes intermix with plum, blackberry, vanillin confectionary and subtle pepper notes. Rich and plush yet not heavy, luscious liquorice, plum and blackberry fruits overlay a vanillin confectionary, faint mint and pepper back drop. Velvet smooth tannins with a long liquorice dominated finish that has a dash of spice and pepper to it.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
