2019 Turkey Flat Vineyards Grenache

Grenache fruit was predominately sourced from vines over 100 years old. Fermented with 15% whole bunch and matured in neutral oak foudre and puncheons.

Deep dark red core with a black tinged outskirts and dark red hue. Fragrant ripe dark raspberry, dark cherry and red liquorice scents blossom from the glass with notions of fresh herbs, light incense and spice ensuing. Delicious dark raspberry, ripe cherry and liquorice fruits are cast across the palate with tremendous intensity, backed by vibrant acidity and structured tannins. Subtle notions of scorched earth, infusions of fresh herbs and spice flow onto the long succulently fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Primarily produced from 100+yo estate vines, it is a model of consistent style, quality and supreme value. Its balance is marvellous, appropriate for a wine that makes its statement of juicy red berries, Turkish delight and rose petals without fuss or fanfare. Drink by 2029.
