2019 Tornatore Etna Rosso

A blend of 95% Nerello Mascalese and 5% Nerello Cappuccio. Semi translucent dark red colour with black shaded edges and a light, slightly rusty hue. Spicy red currant aromas are interwoven with hints of blood orange, volcanic rock and Mediterranean herb like notes. Light in body with a vibrant graphite like feel spicy red cherry and blood orange fruits are underscored by tangy acidity, volcanic rock, flinty mineral characters and infusions of Mediterranean herbs. Dry tense finish with slightly chalky tannins and a fresh, savoury aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
