2019 Soumah Hexham Vineyard Syrah

Matured in oak barriques and puncheons (20% new) for a period of 18 months. Pitch black in colour with a dark red black tinged hue. An elevated mix of aniseed, dark plum and fennel scents are intermeshed with dried herbs, smoked meats and pepper. Mid weighted and fleshy, the palate sports rich plum, black cherry and liquorice fruits over fennel, smoky vanillin cedar and peppered meats. Very polished with velvety tannins and a long savoury aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
