2019 Santolin Gladysdale Chardonnay

Matured in French oak (30% new) on lees for a period of 10 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with highlights of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Nectarine and white peach aromas meld into dried honey, subtle crème brulee, citrusy nougat and gun flint notes. Rich fleshy nectarine and white peach fruits overlay lightly toasted oak, dried honey and spicy crème brulee like characters. Excellent intensity with a lick of fresh acidity played off against a long creamy textured conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
