2019 Redbank Shiraz

Matured for 12 months in French oak. Totally opaque midnight black core with a dark red black tinged hue. Lifted ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas combine followed by some lightly smoked vanillin cedar and peppered fennel notes. Generously weighted the palate is filled with lush black cherry and liquorice fruits which overshadow a smoked meat and black pepper infused back drop. Robustly built tannins provide some underlying structure. Finishes ripe and slightly chewy.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
