2019 Pertaringa Undercover Shiraz

Matured in 15% new French and American oak for 18 months. Impenetrable inky black heart with a very deep dark red black hue. Showing ample volume are aromatics of dark plum, liquorice and fresh ripe blackberries followed by some mint, lightly dusted vanillin cedar and spicy pepper notes. Rich and plush yet with an underlying youthful freshness, the medium to full bodied palate is awash with succulent dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits which over shadow a back drop of spicy vanillin cedar, subtle dusty earth and blackpepper. Powdery tannins with a bright polished finish and long juicy yet fresh and savoury aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
