2019 Pedestal Margaret River Shiraz

Matured in French oak for 12 months. A youthful inky black in colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Pronounced crushed blackberry, liquorice and blackpepper scents overlay smoked meats, vanillin cedar and spicy black olive. Firmly built with plenty of muscle, rich liquorice and blackberry fruits flood the mouth underpinned by toasty vanillin cedar, dried meats and blackpepper. Sturdy tannins give the palate a chewy, meaty like mouthfeel. Bright youthful acidity with a long rich, muscular aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
