2019 Patrick Piuze Montee de Tonnerre Chablis Premier Cru
Other Reviews....
The 2019 Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre opens in the glass with notes of citrus zest, white flowers, mint, beeswax and pastry cream. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and structured, with a deep core of fruit, it's tightly wound, with fine cut and back-end grip.

The 2019 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru is a little richer on the nose than the Les Butteaux, offering touches of butterscotch mixed with dried flowers, all very open and expressive. The open-knit palate is rounded and honeyed on the entry, and the minerally finish lingers in the mouth. Superb.

The fruit comes from the central triangle of Montée de Tonnerre. Mid yellow in colour, while the nose shows a bit of evolution. Tighter on the palate, but this is not quite, so evident. Not showing well at this stage in its evolution.
