Dense inky black colour with a bright dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced ripe black cherry, liquorice and blackberry aromas are trailed by lightly smoked vanillin cedar, tobacco and spicy dried herb notes. Rich, bright and fleshy, juicy black cherry and liquorice fruits are cast across the medium bodied palate. Vanillin cedar, light earth and spicy fresh herb infusions ensue. Ripe, slightly chewy tannins and youthful energetic acidity provide structure and freshness. Lively dark fruited finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Other Reviews….
Predominantly Adelaide Hills-grown fruit from one of the earliest growers of this increasingly exciting variety. There's a captivating purity to this beautifully medium-weight wine, with lingering cherry cola-esque aromas and flavours. An even coat of tannins is balanced by prominent fruit. A delicious drink, and one of the higher achievers in this class. Drink by 2028.
