2019 Matanzas Creek Winery Alexander Valley Chardonnay

Rich, concentrated and creamy textured with a long, opulent finish.

Looking surprisingly youthful, the wine has a brilliant pale straw colour with gleaming green tinged edges and a watery hue. Filling the nostrils are aromas of ripe peach, apricot, honeycomb and crème brulee followed by nougat, subtle bacon fat and spicy butterscotch notes. Rich, concentrated and creamy textured, the full bodied palate is coated with ripe peach, honeycomb, apricot and crème brulee flavours. Butterscotch, bacon fat, cashew and spicy nougat elements sit underneath. Expansive mouth feel with nicely balanced acidity and a long opulent finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
