2019 Landhaus Classics Shiraz

Matured for 18 months in new French oak. Impenetrable inky black heart with a very deep black dark red hue. Soaring out of the glass is a mix of dark plum, blackberry and liquorice aromatics which meld into lightly smoked vanillin cedar, fennel, a whiff mocha and pepper. Intense dark plum, blackberry and liquorice fruits flood the full bodied palate with fantastic richness and depth. Vanillin cedar, fennel and spicy pepper characters ensue. Bright finish with velvety yet sturdy tannins. Outstanding power with a long opulent aftertaste that sees subtle mocha nuances shining through.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
