2019 Hirsch Hill Estate Pinot Noir

Aged in seasoned French oak. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. The nose has a perfumed quality to it with uplifted scents of violets, dark cherries and strawberries emanating from the glass followed by earth, a delicate meatiness and spice. Light in body but possessing a stern mouthfeel, the palate sports bright red cherry and winter strawberry fruits over an earthy back drop. Infusions of dried herbs and spice are also evident. Dryish finish with vibrant acidity and chalky tannins leading into a modest aftertaste.
