Plenty of ripe red and purple-berry fruit on the nose with subtle, forest-woody notes, as well as violets and mint. Cedary oak sits into the mix well. There’s richness and supple dark-berry fruit flesh through the palate with some firm tannin extract defining the finish. A blend of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc (15%). 5000 bottles produced.
Black fruit, raspberry, cedar, with some violet and a little mint and dried herb. Medium-bodied, intense small dark berries, but with perfume, a graphite feel and pencils with it, tightly knit, fresh, with a long cool ‘mineral’ flecked finish. Classic Clare Cabernet, and so stylish. It’s excellent. Drink 2024 - 2034+

Cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. 5000 bottles made. Elegant. This has grunt and low-down power, but the engine is built into a chassis of fine fruit and supple tannins. The acidity acts as the titanium bolt that holds it together, creating a strengthening framework of life and finesse. Blackberries, cassis, licorice, mulberry and raw cocoa, with nori, pink peppercorns and pastrami, blood plum, kelp and brine. Marvellous. Drink by 2042.
