A very elegant, light and finely textured blend of Muscat Bailey A, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon aged in neutral French oak barrels. Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a red to dark red hue. Nosing offers up a mix of Morello, red and sour cherry notes followed by some red liquorice, violet, scorched earth and spice. Supple, fresh and elegant the light to mid weighted palate features morello cherry and blueberry fruits over infusions of herbs and delicately scorched earth. Finishes with a dash of sour cherries, slightly tangy acidity and polished tannins. The aftertaste refined and savoury.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 12.5%

Other Reviews….
Grape varieties: Muscat Bailey A (75%), Merlot (13%), Cabernet Sauvignon (9%), Cabernet Franc (2%),Petit Verdot (1%) / Grape origin: Yamanashi. Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel tank, followed by maturation in oak barrels.
Raspberry, some bubble gum and musk stick and roses, spice and a dash of pepper, some funk and smoky stuff. Light, juicy sweet and sour red fruit and cherry, lick of fine tannin, spice, clean and fresh. Frisky, fun, kind of red-grapey too, but has some complexity and pleasing smokiness throughout. Offbeat, but really good. Love drinking it. Drink 2021-2023+
