2019 Gemtree Ernest Allan Shiraz

Certified organic and biodynamic with maturation taking place in French oak for a period of 16 months. Dense midnight black heart with a very deep dark red black hue. Intense blackberry and liquorice scents jump out of the glass intermixing with vanillin oak, earthy mocha and spice notes along the way. Rich. Large scaled and very concentrated the palate is drenched with waves of blackberry, dark plum and liquorice fruits which overlay a toasty vanillin oak, mocha and spicy earth back drop. Finishes with good freshness despite its obvious opulence. Velvet smooth yet nicely structured tannins with a long generously fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
