2019 Geddes Seldom Inn Petit Verdot
Matured in 1 year old French oak puncheons for 18 months. Totally opaque black colour with a deep dark red black hue. A mix of blackcurrant and liquorice scents rise from the glass followed by vanillin cedar, earthy black olives and spice. Rich, full bodied and muscular the palate is drenched in a combination of ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and liquorice fruits. Spicy vanillin oak, scorched earth and black olive characters form the back drop. A firm, robust tannin structure imparting some lingering grip onto the long opulent yet chewy aftertaste. Combines McLaren Vale’s rich fruit with a Bordeaux like structure.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
