2019 Felton Road Block 5 Pinot Noir

The 2019 vintage was a stellar one in Central Otago, winemaker Blair Walter barely able to contain his enthusiasm for the wines, stating “These are without doubt some of the most thrilling wines we have yet made.” Fruit sourced for their wines are fully organic and biodynamic viticulture, ensuring the highest quality fruit arrives at the winery. From there winemaking is intentionally hands off with gravity flow, wild yeasts, wild malo, and an avoidance of fining and filtration to help preserve the expression of its terroir.

Felton Road farms four properties totaling 32 ha in the Bannockburn sub-region of Central Otago. Block 5 is situated on a gentle north facing slope in the heart of The Elms vineyard and was planted in 1993.
