2019 Emiliana Signos de Origen Cabernet Sauvignon

From a certified Organic vineyard planted in 1992 this excellent Cabernet Sauvignon was matured in a mix of foudres (40%), concrete egg tanks (34%) and French oak barrels of varying ages for a period of 13 months. Very deep black dark red core with a dark red hue. Ripe blackcurrant aromas engulf the nostrils followed by hints of dark chocolate, vanillin cedar, tobacco, dusty earth and spice. Rich and full in body the palate is flooded with ripe blackcurrant fruits that impart a plush feel. Notions of vanillin cedar, earthy tobacco, dried herb and spice characters linger on the back half. Sturdily built and slightly dusty tannins provide an excellent framework. Excellent power and volume in the mouth concluding long and opulently fruited.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
