Other Reviews....
A more deeply pitched nose exhibits notes of red and blue pinot fruit with more evident earth and humus nuances. The rich, full-bodied and imposingly scaled flavors possess excellent size, weight and power while delivering first-rate length on the austere finale. This equally firm effort isn't quite as complex as the Fremiers, at least not today, though that may well change with time in bottle. Drink from 2034+.

A high point of the range is the 2019 Pommard 1er Cru Les Croix Noires, a terrific wine that unfurls in the glass with complex aromas of raspberries, plums, raw cocoa, sweet spices, licorice and grilled squab. Medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, it's deep and multidimensional, with melting tannins and lively acids, concluding with a long, expansive finish. Drink 2025 - 2055.

Fresh pale purple, with a magnificent, indeed really sensual nose, sumptuous from start to finish with lifted richly ripe red fruit and a very stylish finale with just enough tannin, just enough acidity, very persistent. Beautiful intensity in a harmonious way.
