Other Reviews....
Whiffs of herbal tea and spice add breadth to the cool, ripe and well-layered nose of various dark berries along with ample amounts of earth and sauvage nuances. There is excellent punch suffusing the succulent but powerful medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract before terminating in an almost painfully intense and hugely long finish. I really like the texture as this is generous yet very clearly constituted for extended cellaring. As it often is, this is the best wine in the range and with the most development potential. Drink from 2034+.

Another cuvée produced from very old vines is the 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers, a striking wine that exhibits notes of red berries, plums, cassis, peonies and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, deep and velvety, it's layered and elegant, with terrific concentration and lively acids. This has fully realized all the potential it showed in barrel. Drink 2027 - 2055.

The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru sees no new oak, like most of Louis Boillot’s other Premier Crus. The tightly wound nose features blackberry, wild hedgerow and chalky, petrichor notes in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins that frame the lightly spiced red fruit and just a hint of black pepper and curry leaf on the persistent finish. Superb. Drink 2023-2040.

Dense fresh deep purple. There is a very light reduction on top of powerful purple fruit. Very complete on the palate, then some dry tannins but still surrounded by the luxury fruit. More comes out at the back. Still brooding at this stage.
