2019 Cobaw Ridge Il Pinko Rose

Produced from Syrah grapes, the wine was partially fermented and matured in quervi (a large clay vessel) and old French oak. Translucent salmon colour. Lifted cherry and cranberry aromas mix with red apple skin, blood orange and light spice notes. Showing excellent intensity are delicious stone fruit, cherry and blood orange flavours which have a round slippery textural feel. Finishes dry and tangy with some stony minerality making an appearance on the long savoury aftertaste.

Magnificent rose here. The faintest greasiness and oiliness in the most wonderful and fine sense. Just ripe cherry, pomegranate, finest tannins, cool, integrated acidity. Feels fancy. A seamless flow of the most delicious kind of rose. Textural and wonderful. Drink 2020-2022.
