$335.88 Dozen
ABV: 14%

Established in 1999 by Rob and Meegan Peebles, this small Heathcote vineyard consists of 5 acre planting of Shiraz and 1 acre plot of Zinfandel that are grown on Heathcote’s famed Cambrian quartz and ironstone soils. Small, low yielding crops of 2 to 2.5 tons per acre ensure great flavour intensity.
Inky black in colour with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Spicy blackberry, liquorice and dark plum aromatics flow from the glass trailed by smoky vanillin cedar, earth and blackpepper notes. Leaning more towards full bodied than medium bodied, the palate has a fleshy textural feel and is decorated with rich blackberry, liquorice and spicy dark plum fruits. Evolving on the back half are lightly toasted vanillin cedar, subtle earthy dried herb nuances and blackpepper. Very polished tannins finishing with a youthful exuberance and a long opulent aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%
