From 65 year old vine. Dense midnight black colour with a deep dark red hue. Elevated aniseed, ripe blackberry and black cherry aromas are intermeshed with toasty vanillin oak and peppered earth notes. Rich, concentrated and voluminous, the full bodied palate is awash with liquorice, blackberry and black cherry fruits. Vanillin oak, scorched earth and blackpepper characters linger underneath. Opulent and lush yet bold in its structure with ripe sturdy tannins, it powers through to a long finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.8%

Other Reviews…..
Despite the Fiddle's Block name, the grapes come from multiple Langhorne Creek vineyards aged 15–80 years; the focus on selection of clones including very old sources; hand or machine picked; small concrete or stainless-steel open fermenters; various vinification including part barrel fermented, part extended maceration. Delicious shiraz showing the sense of place to perfection; small red and black berry fruits on a medium-bodied framework of spicy, savoury fruit and oak tannins; lip-smacking finish and aftertaste. Trophy Best Shiraz at Langhorne Creek Wine Show ’21. Drink by 2042.
